As a result, the perceived shaking during an earthquake is significantly reduced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Performance Comparison Based on Experimental Results<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list ptn_ul\">\n<li><strong>Typical buildings (without seismic countermeasures): 300\u2013800 gal<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><strong>When T-BAGS is used beneath the foundation and ground floor slab: 200\u2013250 gal<\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The gal is a unit used to measure acceleration; 1 gal <\/em>=<em><em>&nbsp;<\/em>1 cm\/s\u00b2.
